Cycling for groups
We are keen to run regular sessions for groups of disabled people of any age.
Our vision for the children we teach is that they achieve their cycling potential.
We want all children, whether they ride a 2,3 or 4 wheeler, to acquire as many cycle skills as they can. We teach the basic control skills and the skills needed to ride safely on quiet roads in line with the National Standards.
We run termly sessions with Croydon and Lambeth special schools using our 2, 3 and 4 wheeler cycles and would love to do more of this, whether at Croydon Sports Arena or at a venue nearer you. The pupils love it and many teachers are amazed at what their pupils achieve.
Mary Gambrill, a teacher at Castlehill Primary School, had this to say about lessons: “The children gained confidence and motor skills. They shared and took turns on the cycles and they persevered in the cold wet conditions. They learned to ride bikes and some now have their own at home. The physical exercise is very good for them as they can be less willing to join in with playground games such as football.”
Please contact Janet Paske if you would like to discuss possibilities.
