London Disability Cycling Forum

The LDCF is an informal network of people involved in supporting disabled people to cycle. Key stakeholders are the Interactive (previously London Sports Forum for Disabled People), the London Cycling Campaign and Transport for London. It is driven by providers of cycling services to disabled people and any disabled person is welcome to be involved. Members also include groups representing people with specific impairments such as the Royal National Institute for the Blind.

Next meetings

Here are the speakers for our next meetings. We hope that by getting to know more about the various organisations involved in cycling we will be better able to work together:

  • On Tuesday 7 September Peter Cattermole of British Cycling’s London Team will be coming along.
  • At our December or January meeting, someone from Transport for London will give an update on the various cycling schemes in place, such as the Cyclehire Scheme and Cycle Superhighways, and how the needs of disabled people have been taken into account or are being considered.

Meetings are usually held in central London. More details will be provided nearer the time.

Got a question about cycling for disabled people?

If you have a question then you can join the Cycling Tourist’s Club’s Inclusive Cycling Forum e-group. The group works for disabled people, with the purpose to make it as easy as possible to access, experience and enjoy the benefits of cycling. The group also aims to promote and demonstrate what is possible, and to help everyone to enjoy cycling.

Or just get in touch with Janet Paske, who may be able to help.
